Do you believe in miracles? My wife and I still do, we have to. After nearly five years of marriage, almost countless months of disappointments, and numerous attempts with fertility treatments, Jennifer and I have not been able to have children of our own.
I can not begin to explain our despair each month, but this is not about disappointment and hurt. It is about hopes and dreams and making them come true. Our dream is to have a family, to raise our children, to love them, teach them, and watch them grow. We now know that plan has us providing that love to children through domestic adoption.
Adoption is a miracle to those children who need and deserve a loving and caring home, and will truly be a miracle to us if we get the chance to provide that love.
Adoption is not cheap, however. On average a domestic adoption costs in excess of $25,000.00 not including any associated travel expenses. To help defray our costs, on May 6, 2011, Jennifer and I are sponsoring a Zumbathon Fundraiser at St. Joseph 's Church in Cold Spring , KY.
